1960's sculptural ceramic planter produced by Architectural Pottery, USA, finished with a hand-applied flame glaze. The vertical glaze drips are formed manually by pouring the glaze over the vessel, creating deliberate rivulets that flow down the surface and give the piece its expressive, flame-like character. Set against a speckled ground glaze, the poured glaze contrasts in tone and texture, emphasizing movement and depth while preserving the planter’s clean, modern form. Each example is inherently unique due to the hand-applied process.
